XF 1.5 Difference between links to registration page

What is the difference between

example.com/index.php?login/login
example.com/login/login
example.com/register

in a XF installation? They all go to registration page.

The first two are the same thing, just depending on whether you have friendly URLs enabled. However, they don't necessarily all go to registration; it's dependent on the form params sent. The final link that you've given is the canonical registration link.
