Developer Licensing

Are there any special licensing options for developers who do not need to actually use the software in production, just contribute to the ecosystem? If not, does it work similar to vBulletin, where you can piggyback off a client's license?

I'd like to build a XenForo plugin to integrate with a service I'm building.

There is only a single license type.

You can be added to a license to gain access to the customer forums and resources though.

There's no such thing.

Users with licenses can add up to 4 forum users to their licenses.

Not necessarily true.

I haven't counted how much I've made,but it's worth the licence cost.

I assume whoever is paying you has a license. They can add you as a forum user for you to see more boards.
