XF 1.5 Delete all posts in a node with 410 error pages

I have a node that is full of low quality posts. Is there a way to delete the node so that all the threads contained give a 410 error from Google?

Deleting the node/threads would result in a 404 being returned for any thread/post URLs.

If you want to return a different error code, you'd have to do something outside of XF itself (eg, in .htaccess) to force particular URLs to return a different code and not even be sent to XF.
