Is the PHP7.4 requirement likely to break anything if not met? I think we're on 7.3 still and just noticed this update bumped the requirement.

I don't believe this is possible. The API provides no way of targeting tweets to specific accounts. You would need to setup a new app for your other ac
I applied for a dev account under the account I want to tweet from, waited 3 weeks for approval, and it was denied w/o the possibility of appeal. They do not tell you the reason but it was hinted they only want you to have one, as, they stated that one account can handle projects for all of your different websites. Which seems true since I created logins for each of my XFs.

Anyway, I hope you can look into it. I'd really like this to work for my second XF it's actually my most busy. Currently, no way to do this. Thanks!

The requirement is 7.2, 7.4 is recommended :)

I don't see how this is actually possible, like I said the API does not provide a way to target tweets to a specific account. I have no idea how this would be done, as I don't need multi site support and this add-on was released as a "I made this for me but maybe someone else can use it too" type of deal 😅

Is there a way to set which twitter account it posts to? Or does it absolutely HAVE to be the same developer account?

I have my personal twitter account as my dev account, but not the account for my site (which is where i want it to post to) please advise.

See the post directly above yours :P

Ah, that's a shame, simply because twitter won't make the Revillution account a dev account for some stupid reason. :( Guess I won't be able to utilize this add-on :(

Okay so i got the dev account and i Believe I have it all set up, I posted a thread but it didn't tweet? What am I doing wrong? better documentation setting this up would be ideal.

Feature suggestion. Add a button to tweet thread. This could be useful if you move a thread from a node that doesn't automatically tweet to twitter. Then you could manually tweet it.

I'd personally use this if I've made a large article in a admin only environment and then moved it across to make it public.

I'd pay for the addon if this was moved to a different pay model. Love your products!

Thanks

You would need to setup a new app for your other account.
Not possible, this is from Twitter and why mine was denied:
Is it possible to have multiple developer accounts?
At this time, a single Twitter user can have a single developer account or can be a member of a team account. Users that already have a developer account cannot apply for another, nor can they be added to other's developer accounts.

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] Tweet Poster with a new update entry:

1.2.3

Update highlights

This version updates the minimum PHP version requirement to 7.3.

Please note that 7.3 was always required, I just failed to realise this when updating the Twitter posting API code.

The next version number bump will likely be 7.4, as the update that enables PHP 8.1 support will also drop support for 7.3. It is always recommended you keep your PHP installation up to date.

Change: Set minimum PHP version to 7.3

Did you get yours working? I have the same issue, I appear to have it all setup as instructed but no tweets are showing

Yes I did. I believe I had a setting on twitter's end set wrong, upon changing it, it started to work. See it in action here.
Still no joy, so I've added the Consumer Key and Secret (API Key and Secret I assume), also the Access token and secret, ticked "Post new threads in this forum to Twitter" in the relevant forum, is that it or have I missed something?

Thanks

* Edit - I've noticed the twitter development app is set to "Read Only", perhaps that's the issue

That'd be the issue, yes :-) That setting needs to be changed.

Please consider adding support for AMS by Bob. I'd pay or sponsor this feature. Hopefully others feel the same!

Also integration with scheduling addons would also be great (example - thread does not auto-tweet if thread is not active/is hidden)
