XF 1.3 Creating A Horizontal Rule BBCode

So my bbcode does this: <span class="horizontal-rule {option}">{text}</span>

[rule][/rule]

If I put text inbetween the bbcode, the line appears under the text.

But if I want just the line and but nothing inbetween, no line appears. Any ideas?

The short answer is that empty BB codes are ignored. I think there is an internal option related to this, but it isn't exposed as an option externally.

Hmm.

Would there be any easy way that you could think of to accomplish this? Trying to make as little addons as possible for bbcodes.

Or should we just code it?

Since it's not exposed anywhere, it would require a code modification of some sort to support.
