XF 2.0 content approval: forum permissions vs. group permissions

I'm running into an awkward problem with permissions. Here's the situation:

I have two groups of users - the regular Registered group and a special group. I want the special group to be able to freely post in a non-public forum without waiting for moderator approval, but I want all content moderated before posting to a public forum, no matter which group is posting it.

I see that user groups include a "Submit content without approval" permission, but there doesn't seem to be any equivalent for forum permissions (which would solve this problem).

Any suggestions?

In the public node, select the "Moderate replies posted in this forum" option.

I was looking at forum permissions, instead of forum configuration, and I missed that. Thanks for steering me in the right direction!
