I don't know technical aspects of the addons. I pay coders to do the work. I have asked about the feasibility of adding this functionality.
Of course, this functionality won't work unless the user sending the form is logged in, since we need to send to a valid user. And we won't know who they are unless they are logged in.
What is a 'premium package'? I don't understand point 4.
Hello Stuart,
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, of course. This feature would only be used for logged-in members. Anonymous visitors would continue to use the standard Contact Form as usual.
Let me clarify what I mean by "Premium Package".
This is not related to XenForo itself.
On my forum, I sell Premium Membership subscriptions.
I created a custom request form using the standard XenForo Contact Form.
The member simply selects one of the available subscription options, for example:
- 1 Year Premium Membership
- 2 Year Premium Membership
These are just my own subscription plans.
After submitting the form:
- The administrator receives the normal email.
- The member automatically receives a Conversation containing payment instructions (IBAN, payment reference, etc.).
The important point is that this feature should not be limited to Premium Membership requests.
It could work with any custom form built on the XenForo Contact Form.
For example:
- Premium Membership Request
- Moderator Application
- Advertising Request
- Sponsorship Request
- Support Request
- Any other custom application form
The add-on would simply detect that the Contact Form has been successfully submitted by a logged-in user and automatically create a predefined Conversation.
In my opinion, this would make the Contact Form much more powerful and useful for many XenForo communities.
Thank you again for asking your developer about the feasibility.
