"Comments on another's profile" wording

I hate to do this but the text in the new Alert Preferences page doesn't look/sound right to me.

Comments on another's profile

Is it just me or would that be better off being something like "Comments on another profile" or "Comments on other profiles" or "Comments on another member's profile" or even "Comments on someone else's profile"?

/pedant mode off

Well as "another's" is a contraction of "another user's" or "another member's" then I suppose you could just expand it to one of those?

I think my preference though would be "Comments on another profile"

Receive an alert when someone comments on another's profile
Receive an alert when someone comments on another profile
Receive an alert when someone comments on other profiles
Receive an alert when someone comments on another member's profile
Receive an alert when someone comments on someone else's profile

I prefer the latter, I think.

I should clear up that the full text of these would be

"Receive an alert when someone comments on a message that was posted on your profile by you or someone else"
and
"Receive an alert when someone comments on a message that you posted on someone else's profile"

Kinda tricky to boil that down to a very short phrase eh?

quote "Receive an alert when someone comments on a message that was posted on your profile by you or someone else"
"Receive an alert when someone replies on your profile message"
OR
"Alert me on my profile message replies"
and
quote "Receive an alert when someone comments on a message that you posted on someone else's profile"
"Alert me on others profiles when I comment"
A little more laconic ?

Receive an alert when someone comments on another's profile
Receive an alert when someone comments on another profile
Receive an alert when someone comments on other profiles
Receive an alert when someone comments on another member's profile
Receive an alert when someone comments on someone else's profile

I prefer the latter, I think.

The word latter only works when there are two items lol. The second of two.
But if you mean what i think you mean then i like the last one.

quote "Receive an alert when someone comments on a message that was posted on your profile by you or someone else"
"Receive an alert when someone replies on your profile message"
OR
"Alert me on my profile message replies"
and
quote "Receive an alert when someone comments on a message that you posted on someone else's profile"
"Alert me on others profiles when I comment"
A little more laconic ?
Too concise? Or too ambiguous ?
