Coinbase Commerce Integration

Coinbase Commerce Integration [Paid] 1.0.2

No permission to buy (£25.00)
siropu added bitcoin to his ads manager 1 add-on, with no third party required, it was easy and quick!

you just put your bitcoin address in it, and it shows users a bitcoin qr code, and users send money to it, then you check your bitcoin wallet,
and then you come back and manually give him access to whatever they bought,

i think thats what you mean? @xffutureuser

his ads manager 2 also has bank transfer/bitcoin area,

it's manual, you just need to download the blockchain or anything, or have any dedicated server
it can be done with as many coins as you want, it has option in admin panel

siropu is very smart, u can ask him about it

and then we don't need third party,
so it is possible because siropu already did it

.

No problem, I will just look into my wallet. Simple solution. The same way I have to look into my bank account when someone sends me a wire transfer.

Manual processing isn't really the point of this add-on, and such a feature wouldn't really be a crypto payment gateway. Any generic "manual payment" gateway would seem to do the trick for that. It seems somewhat pointless to make an add-on to basically just print your main wallet address with instructions to send a message to the admin with your payment information for manual confirmation or something. You can do that by just posting a thread with the payment information and using the core XF feature to manually add a user upgrade to a user after manually confirming the payment.

it's not completely manual, if you look closely at the video, its half manual, you "mark as paid"

no a thread is not the same, not even close!

anyways, no point in fighting , im not going to try to convince u any longer,
in fact i should ask siropu to release his half manual bitcoin add-on, i might have a better chance there,

anyways your add-on is good for "law abiding websites" but not for one of my websites where i sell marijuana and is against american laws but not other country laws

.

Exactly. What is the point of crypto payment gateway where third party can control your crypto and dictate you what payment you can accept and what payment you can't and what political views you must have. I might as well just use PayPal, it's the same thing.

It seems somewhat pointless to make an add-on
It might seem pointless, but it is not. The same way as it is not pointless for money transfers commonly used in online shops all over Europe, because it is easy to make a wire transfer from a bank account and most of the time no fees for that. And for credit cards payments gateyes there are very high fees.

Why not just make a thread with your payment address, or request users send a message to you to get the address, and then manually confirm the payment and grant the upgrade? The manual gateway you're proposing would take just as long to process transactions as this. Honestly, I just think it's completely pointless to have a gateway that basically just prints instructions and requires the forum admin to manually approve the payment anyway. It doesn't save time for the admin or the customer. It's still pretty much complete manual payment processing.

But regardless, if that's what you'd like then unfortunately this add-on doesn't have that feature so we can't really help with that. You'd have to find a different add-on or have it custom developed. Sorry!

I'm not saying it's pointless to manually process Bitcoin. I'm saying it's pointless to have an add-on to create a payment gateway to manually process Bitcoin.

it's not pointless, you could say that about many of the features customers suggest to xenforo add to its forums script,
it might be pointless to the developer but for the admin its a great feature and useful

siropu's feature is actually very handy and it saves the admin lots of time,
it works with alerts and invoices

this is how his add-on works with crypto

-- there is over 50 ads available to purchase
-- member picks one, creates his ad and submits it

-- admin receives alert that ad has been submitted
-- admin manually approves his ad(not nsfw ads)

-- invoice is automatically created and invoice & alert is sent to member,
-- member looks at invoice for instructions on how to pay invoice, member sends bitcoin and then clicks "mark as paid"

-- admin receives alert that invoice has been paid
-- admin looks at his bitcoin wallet on his computer to see if the bitcoin money has arrived,
-- admin then manually approves the ad the member has purchased(approve to show on forum)

the end!
no need for servers, blockchain or api

the admin only had to manually check 2 things, approve the ad(no nfsw) & approve the ad to show on forum

now i could make a thread, but a thread would not work as fun, cool, and professional as an add-on,
i would make one thread and then the customer would have to start a conversation with me telling me which one his choose and telling me that he send the bitcoin,

this is very troublesome, i don't want to talk to my customers, i would rather have an add-on take care of this, customers want automatic and fast service

so let's compare your add-on to siroup ads manager crypto feature

yours:
super fast! no waiting
have third party
third party can ban you

siroup:
not as fast, because have to confirm payment manually
no third party
can never be banned

you need to understand what type of people are in the crypto community, the are really against paypal, banks and third parties,
we want to control out own money, we want to be our own banks, we dont need third parties,

yes siropu's feature is slower, but with his no one can ban us or tell us what we can sell,

let me tell you something small about bitpay .com

at first everyone was excited that bitpay .com and coinbase was helping the bitcoin community and supporting the bitcoin community
but after a coulple of years, they got bigger and bigger and they got pressure from american banks to not accept people with certain politcial views, and then they started banning people and once again, they are doing the same thing paypal does,
not because they want to, but because they get pressure from big banks who control the money in the world,
you listen to the banks or they will destroy you

so then a talented developer decided to destroy bitpay com, but not with violence or weapons, instead he started to develop a software that you install on your own server and you control your own bitcoin and blockchain!

he is an excellent and intelligent developer, because of his software, people are finally able to leave bitpay and coinbase because there is no need for bitpay or coinbase anymore, everyone can be there own bitpay! he is a genius his name is NicolasDorier

in the near future, paypal will be gone from this world, bitcoin is the future and the new world reserve currency

im not saying your add-on is bad or anything, because anything that is crypto related, it helps out the crypto community and spreads the words
so its good that you created this add-on for others,

im just saying its always good to be open to ideas,

hopefully this post and information helps you understand crypto and crypto people and open your mind to customers ideas

@51463,
Hi! Siropu doesn't have bitcoin payment profile in Ads Manager 2. Only in xenforo-1. I have their license.
As I can understand, it's because changed system of xenforo 2 payment profiles.

@Robust, your mod is cool, but we need more work on the script. Because it's still in beta and have only coinbase merchant ;)

i change the phrase in admin panel, so now it says "crypto transfer"

you can add many "bank transfer" and add crypto address inside of many coins,

yes you are right, it's not bitcoin, it is bank transfer, but if you change phrase is become bitcoin transfer,

I've been waiting for an update on this for a long time..
Hi,

We have no open tickets, or tickets in general as I recall, relating to this issue. Please submit a ticket here: https://nanocode.io/contact

Ahh I'm sorry. Do you have any date for the next release?

Nothing exact unfortunately. The only real benefit of the next update is CoinPayments.net support. The bug fixes are minor (other than the Guzzle bug, for which we have a patch available to those who need it). So unless you’re waiting to add that it’s probably not going to be an update that changes much for you.

For those waiting for CoinPayments.net, hoping to have it out ASAP after testing.
