Add-on Classifieds System In Development

I have started working on a new product that you may all know called MicroClassifieds.
The system will have these functions
  • It supports 4 types of Classifieds:
    • For Sale
    • Wanted
    • For Trade
    • Free Offers
  • Supports unlimited categories
  • Supports Extra fields (but not searchable)
  • Has PM templates for:
    • PM user when admin approves his Classifieds
    • PM user when admin rejects Classified
    • PM seller when a user Makes an Offer
    • PM seller when a user clicks Buy it
    • PM seller when a use uses the contact form
  • Supports 5 statuses:
    • Open
    • Hidden
    • Reserved
    • Expired
    • Sold
    • Please note here nothing is automatic. The seller has to take care to switch between statuses.
  • There are listings for:
    • Category classifieds
    • Timeframe (What's New) Classifieds
    • Seller Classifieds
    • Search Results
  • In view Ad page the visitor can see also:
    • Other classifieds from the same seller
    • Similar classifieds from the same category
  • In all pages there are available the follow blocks having the appearance of widgets:
    • Category Menu
    • Search Form
    • Statistics
    • Latest classifieds
    • Popular classifieds
    • Soon to expire classifieds.
some of these may change or be removed when making this add-on.
iv also added a layout manager where the admin will be able to change the layout of all blocks on the front page to where he/she wants

Here are the first screenshots of this add-on

Plz consider a thread view of the classified items just like in RM, perhaps with larger images and more info..

I'd like to have a uniform design across the site.. Example: Bob's showcase also compliments the site in term of design..

Your work appreciated Micheal, feature wise it looks good but the front-end design wise its poor (main page), it should have more XenForo's standard styling. Check out Bob's Showcase addon and RM for example.

I have to agree with this. I also have noticed that all Michael's addons don't follow XenForo's standard styling. I would suggest getting someone who is familiar with XenForo's styling and ask them to help.

I would use textCTRL for the textboxes.
Example:
Code:
<input type="text" value="" class="textCtrl" name="question1" maxlength="200" size="44">

just an update on progress

i have now changed the layout manager where every shop owner can changer there shop layout for them selves.
admin will be able to see a list of users that have a layout if someone goes to a users store front it will make a new layout for them to the default layout till that shop owner changes the layout.

This is to give the seller the option to change where and how the blocks are shown when someone views there store front.

Viewing of categories have also been done now with full breadcrumbs for multiple categories so would look something like this
home>cat 1>cat 2

More news and updates as they happen

more news for you have completed the whats new page and the search page where you will be able to search items by category, username, keywords and more.

Please, Micheal, hire a decent designer to pep the thing up.
The style looks like back from the 90ies.

But from the ideas and the workflow it looks very promising.

it looks fine to me, infinitely better than any other classified addon .... I just hope testing goes well and the projected release timeframe holds up and that will be excellent....
