Not a bug Chrome doesn't recognize rss links

Using latest Chrome on latest windows I get this message when clicking on a forum_list rss icon: "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

The solution could be to just disable rss links for incompatible browsers.

This isn't a bug and has been this way since the first release.

Chrome doesn't support the RSS format in use.
You can use a valid RSS reader or Firefox, which does.

RSS is really just an XML file. There isn't anything special about it.

It is -- by definition -- designed for machines and generally a specific app (the RSS feed is of no use unless it is read over time).

I've commented on the other thread, but I think you're really missing the purpose of RSS here and how people who use RSS discover RSS feeds. I don't tend to use RSS much any more, but I would often discover an RSS feed, as I'm sure many do, based on the visual indicators on the sites I visit. The indicator isn't at all useful so I can begin to use RSS in my browser. It's useful because I now know a site uses RSS, and I can find the link I need to populate my RSS client.
