On the overview page, it says this is compatible with 1.5, but on your page for the "Buy Now" it only lists 1.4. I figure 1.5 is supported or it wouldn't be listed here, but just a note so you can update your page. =)

@overifist, If you want to use both /w and /whisper, you will have to change both the JS file and the PHP file and I don't recommend doing that since you will have to make those changes every time you upgrade. If you are still interested, please send me a PM and I will show you how to do it.

@Siropu two questions

1. Is it possible with your chat to have whispers/private messages appear in a different tab when triggered vs inline with the main chat. If not, it be great to see in future versions. Coming from a dual community that used IPB, I have come to appreciate that the private messages were separated from main chat discussions without needing to constantly whisper.

2. Is there a way to make your chat able to show the amount of users chatting in the tab(on the main page). Here's an example of a board we use. It shows you the amount of people already in chat discussing(we plan to use chat on a separate page)


3. Is there a way to show who is chatting as well(since we're using it with the chat on a separate page) to show on the main board index, who is already in chat at a glance so you don't have to log on chat just to see who is there?

here is an example(It sits on the main forum page, so you can easily check to see who is in the chatbox without needing to log on)

@overifist, I will think about multi room chatting after I implement a new major feature. As for display who's typing, that feature in pure AJAX will probably kill your server. )

1. Is not possible. There will be a new add-on for private chatting. I might change how whispers work in the future, I don't know.
2. Yes, there is an admin option to enable chat page and one to show/hide chatters count.
3. This chat doesn't require login to see who's chatting. Unless you use the chat page only mode with the option to automatically display in the chat users who are accessing the page. I might add the option to display the users when you hover over the chat nav tab. We'll see.

In the next version I have added the option to set minimum response interval in minutes.

Some users are reporting that they can only send 1 message then they have to refresh. After sending a message it says "Please wait" and the text box is not clickable.

I am experiencing this on mobile, another user is experiencing this on pc.

The bot responses caused it. I disabled bots and went back to normal. I had 7 bot responses.

I haven't made any changes to any of the core files yet. And the changes I've made in templates are only on the sandbox style I have access to.

One thing that would be really fun is to integrate cleverscript into the chat.

Although this could probably be a separate paid add on since this is something that is highly unneeded.

Tried reinstalling today after updating XenForo to 1.5.3 and got this message: "Developer: default_value is not a valid array (siropu_chat_forum_activity_content)"

Since the update, I have this on the Waterfall when I use GT-Metrix:

I checked the guest permissions and the chat is only visible but the box for the sound is unchecked by default so I don't understand why it loads this kind of mp3 alert?
I did not installed/changed something a part upgrading the Siropu chat and I have much more KB and requests.

@Betclever, nothing has changed in that regard. The sounds are loaded on each page load but I think I should change that if user hasn't enabled sound.

When I have your Chat enabled...

Facebook javascript stuff loads twice.

e.g. Facebook like button in my Widget Framework.

And if I embed any Facebook Post in an XF notice, the embed refreshes the page twice; first on first page load, then x seconds later a second time.


When I disable your chat...

Everything works OK.

Facebook stuff loads only once on the first page load, and not a second time later.

Any guess what's causing this?
