Changing MG Route

I want to use Media Gallery with XenMedio. I will be using XM to create a library of videos from YouTube for my users.

How do I change the Route in MG so that I can properly use both.

Admin CP > Route Filters

There's an existing Route Filter:

xengallery > media

Change "media" to the desired route.

Forgive my stupidity, what is a "ROUTE" anyway and what does it do in XF?

The route is the part you see in the URL, e.g. threads, conversations, members, media.

They are all examples of common routes.

Does it matter what you use as the route, if it is just a label?

You can change routes to whatever you like. If you don't exist, you can create them.

e.g you could change threads to topics and forums to boards and conversations to inbox or indeed media to gallery.

I don't understand why anyone would want to do that. Why not just leave it where it is supposed to be?
