When posting an article in the article threads, is there a way to add a canonical URL for SEO reasons and so Google does not count it as duplicate content if it's an article I'm re-publishing?
Yes. XenForo does set a canonical link reference to the canonical URL of the thread.
It is not possible to set an "external" canonical link without custom code.
