Agreed.
I definatly won't be using any IB products after seeing how low they're willing to go
Mind you, it is rather comical that they've printed disgruntled customer threads as "evidence" against Xenforo LOL

Those disgruntled threads Really picked up when IB tookover (before anyone was aware of xenforo). That should be put in as evidence, the timestamps of all those disgruntled threads won't lie.

The IB time machine disagrees with you.

Seriously folks, I'm as anti-IB as anyone, but all this talk does no one any good. Our opinions matter not. The only opinion that matters is the judge's and XF has good lawyers to handle all of this. I think everyone would be well advised to back off...all you are doing is adding fuel to the fire.

Careful, they might print your post off as evidence and say Xenforo is to blame :P

I'm going to agree with John on this one, since I see us all getting sucked into that vicious cycle which usually ends up in a lot of bad taste for everyone.

Let's just all take a deep breath. We know that XF and the community over here is much better, one big reason for which is the positive environment that is always supported and nurtured over here. :)

XenForo is costing VBSI a lot of money, stated in their FAC.
Well I hate to say it and I probably said it once or twice before. It took XF to get vBS to get their act together.
If XF wasn't such a threat vB4 would be in worse shape than it is now.
They [vBS] have actually made improvements.
My last couple updates have actually been smooth which makes the pain a bit easier waiting for additional features to come online in XF.

But that is not what the case is about.

Nicely cropped images submitted from twitter, so no evidance as to when they were screen printed/printed out I see. :)

Also, nice to see that the email forwarded on from Joe to Michael Anders wasn't printed by Joe from his sent items and isn't a full and complete email as that email doesn't contain any header information forwarding it onto Joe so where's the top of the email gone (or how did he gain access to it? - it isn't mentioned or accounted for, maybe doesn't need to be, still without clarifcation doesn't prove the email can't have been altered in some way during forwarding)? :)

Which email?

If one was to go to the support community of any forum solution, IPB, phpBB, myBB, SMF they can find people discussing whether and how to move to and from vbulletin. You will see people requesting MODS and willing to pay for them. So why doesn't IB sue all these forum solution. The only thing I can think of is that IB's intention is to waste the time and resources of xF with all sorts of claims one after another.

I have been using VBulletin since 2004 and still use VB for many sites and it just saddens me to see how this great software's reputation is pulverized by it's unethical owners. I realy feel for the xenforo guys, don't worry... you guys will see a day when xF will be at the top of Forums market.

Having just read the new document, I just find it laughable. I was never aware that releasing modifications for vBulletin gave them any rights over said work, or that they would be allowed to use it in a lawsuit regarding trademark/IP when they do not own the IP to released modifications.

They're using this to show the mass exodus in movement to XenForo, to claim monetary damages.

I moved away from vBulletin because I was disappointed with the 4.0 product I had purchased a license for in the pre-sale (circa. Oct/Nov 2009).

I move the Invision Power Services IP.Board. This was before I'd even learned about XF and at the same time I was moving away (April 2010) lots of other people were too (there is printable evidence in the IPS forums to indicate this as well).

So ... I'd be quite happy to testify on behalf of XF to demonstrate that it wasn't XF that turned me away from the vBulletin software platform, rather it was the actions (or inaction) of VBSI and their poorly constructed, implemented, and bug-filled product which was vB 4.0 (and subsequent poor quality updates).

Cheers,
Shaun :D

Likewise I would attest to the same.
