I doubt that development really stopped -- slowed down, perhaps, which is understandable given the distractions of the lawsuit.

My hunch is that they avoided discussing development so as not to give IB fodder for more claims that they couldn't substantiate. Anything that KAM would admit to be working on potentially would be another bogus claim of theft or copyright violation. The less they said until the settlement was in hand, the better for all in the long run.
