From reading that, it sounds like someone who isn't involved with the case is going to be provided with the requests for judgement and the counter arguements and will provide their verdict back to Judge Real, who will either then affirm or deny the recomendations based on his own decision also.

This sounds like a good development to me. Magistrates do a lot of the grunt work in in our system, acting largely like "real" judges except that in the end the "real" judges have to sign off on their work.

The judge could simply have dismissed the motion as he did IB similar motion a few weeks ago. He didn't.

He's probably also rather miffed at the year wasted due to IB's disappearing witnesses.

My guess is that if the magistrate and the judge see eye to eye when magistrate turns in his "recommendation", large chunks of the case will disappear. The judge must have discerned a lot of substance in XF's presentation Monday.
 
Fingers crossed this is over, but I still see it going to trail.

Hopefully the team can get things back on track around here pretty sharpish once the trial is over - I miss this place and its "fun".

Ditto, some of the most successful forums I've seen look like crap. (y)

However I've also seen crap forum software destroy very active sites....Huddler.....

The more i've been thinking about it, the more I think Judge Real has already made his mind up, and just wants someone else to "rubber stamp" it before making it official.

That way if IB apeals, it means XenForo can say it was not only the Judges ruling, but that of a Magistrate also... thus reducing their chances of a successful appeal...
 
Any idea if KAM have been told how long to expect the magistrate to be? Is it something that happens in a day or could it take weeks for him to review it all?

Ashley said they are still waiting on some information from Grace+Grace. I guess it comes down to just how much of the case the Magistrate needs to review...

I actually like the sound of that... hah.
 
I am anxious to hear more about what happened, hopefully we will get a more detailed report.

And hopefully the magistrates will not take too long in their deliberations.

That makes a lot of sense, actually, and I certainly hope it's true.

Exactly my gut feeling, especially after reading up on some of the judge's challenges prior.

Mert, for some one who disrespectfully told Lawrence to "get a life", maybe you should follow your own advice. I've slowly started losing more respect for you over the past few months. Your behavior in that thread was extremely childish and I feel that the action taken may have been appropriate.

Lawrence choose to attack and he received a proper response. Thats all i ddi , now i am going to put the hidden truth out. It is Xenforo owners responsibility to keep guys like this in place as moderator. I am not going to let any one act like dictator. However you can choose to loose respect against me , but i honestly don't care. I don't live to be respected by you.

I don't see anywhere in that thread where Lawrence attacked anyone. It's pretty clear that English is a second language to you...and that may be your problem with understanding. Anyway, I won't take this thread off topic any longer. Feel free to send me a conversation if you wish to discuss further. But really, I feel you lose all credibility with your words.

Lawrence way over-reacted to your comment (which I don't think was that bad but you lost some of the "diplomacy" others were using with the language barrier) but now you're way over-reacting yourself.
