Hi,

Since yesterday, seeing a “Checking your browser” page before my site loads. I did not intentionally add this myself and I don't want it

Solution
Yes worth noting that submitting a ticket when you face an issue will get more eyes on it more quickly than posting on the forum.

This forum isn’t the correct support avenue for live support issues that are affecting the Cloud service.
I have personally been working, or at least on call, 24/7/365 for over 12-18 months constantly having to deal with the repercussions from the type of issues you see talked about here

So did we because we apparently all had to figure it out ourselves.

I'm surprised this got deployed without notifying customers. Especially since the answer was to add more cloudflare ( correct me if i am wrong about this btw ), which anyone experienced with it knows, has a high chance of interfering with a site ( SEO aspects, web previews, etc ) unless it's adjusted.

I always notify my clients when i'm deploying a major change to their security systems. This prompts them to keep a look out for strange system behavior, which has a high likelihood of happening ( tools to do proper simulation of new settings don't exist, so as a systems administrator, you're most often "winging it" )

My clients know their systems need frequent adjustment lately so by prompting for the feedback, i can adjust out any problems we find really quick, since the frontlines are on high alert, and not hesitant at all to report the smallest of problem ( annoying, but exactly what i want )

Xenforo staff need to communicate with their customers a lot better about things like this.

Nonetheless, good luck solving the issue.

Hmm, I'd have guessed when rolling out a massive change that might affect customer's forums communication would be relevant.
It wasn’t meant to affect anything but sometimes issues aren’t foreseeable in advance.

On the one hand: Kudos, that you finally do something against the bots.
“Finally”? Read what I said again. Do you think we’ve not been doing anything about it to this point? We’ve been fighting this problem daily for over a year. It’s been my full time job on top of my full time job.

On the other hand: Seems that you act pretty much as a one-man-army, the last man standing at XenForo, trying to safe the world singlehandedly. You work on 2.4, you fix bugs, you do support, you build a bot-fighting-thing, you do the official communication, you answer to pings on the forum and possibly a couple of other things more - does neither sound healthy nor effective but rather overloaded and fragmented.
You’re right. You got us. I’m the only one left. I even pay myself and all of the bills. I guess the contributions of Kier, Mike, Gems, Jon, Paul, Jeremy and Aakif don’t matter unless they work in full view or contribute to the forum to an arbitrary satisfactory amount?

I see why my colleagues might be reluctant to show themselves and contribute publicly to be honest.

You had to figure out for yourself how to manage your own server? Well, yes. This isn’t a unique problem to XenForo, or to forums generally. This is a global problem faced by server administrators everywhere.

Thanks for the feedback but absolutely not relevant to this case in the slightest.
