Companies in their right mind do it all the time, and have done it for over a century. It's where the term "loss leader" comes from.Someone on my forum snapshotted a popular retailer's products he was interested in and waited for the advertised BF deals - the same products were increased in price by 10% with, you guessed it, a 10% off BF special offer !
It's kidology, sure there may be a few deals around with tat and old stock being shifted at low prices, but no one in their right mind would sell popular products at discounted prices in the run-up to Christmas when stocks are being sold at normal prices - not unless they're in the habit of giving money away.
You probably need to clear your cache from the old cart data.I've had a license in my cart for several days. Not because I was waiting until today, but simply because I forget it was still in a tab.
I just found that tab again, and saw that the "XenForo License" price was $160. Then it changed almost immediately back to $195. Huh? So I hit F5, and you can see it load "Total $160.00" then immediately $195 again.
That's weird. Did I miss something?
"12 Month Extension" is also $50 for a partial second. I think these are the prices from a few years ago?
The last price change for XenForo was before I even had my current computer. So no such cache would exist. You probably need to clear your cache from the old cart data.
The price is $195 and extensions are $60 year for each year after the initial purchase.
Do you perhaps have a lot of licenses in your account? There is volume licensing.I've had a license in my cart for several days. Not because I was waiting until today, but simply because I forget it was still in a tab.
