Black Friday Discount

Someone on my forum snapshotted a popular retailer's products he was interested in and waited for the advertised BF deals - the same products were increased in price by 10% with, you guessed it, a 10% off BF special offer !

It's kidology, sure there may be a few deals around with tat and old stock being shifted at low prices, but no one in their right mind would sell popular products at discounted prices in the run-up to Christmas when stocks are being sold at normal prices - not unless they're in the habit of giving money away.

Companies in their right mind do it all the time, and have done it for over a century. It's where the term "loss leader" comes from.

Yes, there are shady companies that raise prices before "discounting", but there are many examples of companies doing it legitimately.

Blackfriday Discount should only be requested for disposable items, which are otherwise offered completely overpriced.

XF, on the other hand, is not a disposable item and instead of asking for discounts, more bug-free or more testing should be required before the release ... ;)
