Use these queries to do a manual uninstall of the addon

DELETE FROM xf_content_type_field where content_type = 'xfa_blog_comment';
............
DELETE FROM xf_addon WHERE addon_id = 'xfa_blogs';

Then you should be able to install the add-on again
Please note that this will erase ALL data

Widgets are only updated when you press Refresh home page.

They are cached, for an hour usually. That is intentional. You might not notice the performance hit with a few blogs, but once you go to thousands, caching is really needed

You can go to the options on Blogs Home Page and Widgets and disable the caching (set it to 0)

Can you please include avatars for Recently updated blogs?

Also can you please let us configure how many entries and comments show per widget instead of having us control it through the blog options admincp because when we do that it also changes the blog home page widgets as well which should be separate.

I have in my roadmap revamping the Widgets, I think I'll make them configurable from the widget menu itself instead of from the ACP options. That makes a lot more sense really.

I am working on Global Categories now, so that is a little down on the backlog, I am trying to get some suggestions like default privacy options and other stuff first too

Thanks! It would be great if the recently updated blogs actually shows the title of the entry that was newly created instead of just saying 'members blog'.

If Rigel could have a look it would be nice. A quick trick is to add the "posts" key (with the id of "posts") to " $this->_params" which would be sent to the Bb Code formatter. If another key is used, he can check and modify this file starting from line 1162.
