Best way to move from VB4

Hi

we have a very old VB4 forum with Threads 124,051 Posts 349,217 Members 264,083

I am looking at the option of switching to XenForo. What's the best to do this - try and import VB4 using the XF importers (is it possible to import our entire VB4 into XF?) or just lock down/archive the old VB4 forum, just import the users to XF and start afresh. How do other forums normally handle a platform change of this nature?

I don't see any reason not to import your data. Keeping the content is almost certainly better than losing it.
