Best Add ons for New Forum

Hello,

From past 10 years i have been using Vbulletin and i have changed to Xenforo for my new forum. I have bought Xenforo today and installed it on my new forum. I need help from experts here about addons
Can anyone point out Best and must used add ons for new sites ( paid or free) to attract new users.
I am mainly looking for facebook connect, Smilies, How can i keep new threads on side bar, Placing google ads on various places on forums, Likes dislikes and other buttons, User Ranks etc

It would be really appreciate if someone could point me to right direction where i can implement all these on my forums.

As per me that all depends on what type of content is there on your website. If you can provide more info about what is your website then only anyone can point you to some addons.

Facebook login, Google + Twitter are by default present in xenforo. (https://xenforo.com/help/facebook/)
Smiles are also there within xenforo.
For new posts option is present in xenforo options, and by default I think 5 post are displayed.

You can get ad_ template name and visual location of ads from this resource.

I have kept my main site as wordpress blog and discussion baord in subfolder
is there a way that i can link wordpress with XF ?. Like i need few posts to be placed on wordpress main site
