    As requested from here: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/password-a-thread-or-password-a-forum.5839/

Basic function is allow creating custom password for each forum/thread. Forum password can be edited by moderators. Thread password can be edited by moderators or posters. Accessing thread will require forum password also.

Please note that, due to limitation in XenForo's current template and I don't prefer editing the template manually, you will have to go to action password to edit the password of forum or thread.
For example, with forum: http://xenforo.com/community/forums/add-on-releases.32/ = edit password URL is http://xenforo.com/community/forums/add-on-releases.32/password
With thread:http://xenforo.com/community/threads/password-a-thread-or-password-a-forum.5839/ = edit password URL is http://xenforo.com/community/threads/password-a-thread-or-password-a-forum.5839/password

Anyway, I think this feature (at least for forums) should be built in. Just like... what-forum-software-you-know :D

Will play around with this; As many of these have ways to get around the password via injection/exploits.

Sir Nick, I explained in my request that it didn't have to be secure - it's for a game. not to protect the launch codes or anything.

Thank you thank you thank you xfrocks! This is so great of you, truly!

I know, but if I'm gonna install it i gotta make sure it can be secure as i'd use it for my moderation section of my board.

Gotcha, I'm just pointing out that it wasn't part of the request. It's always been hard to get people to help me with password codes in general (Flash, javascript) because of the security issues/they don't want to be responsible for a breach, and I appreciate that someone took it on.

nice one xfrocks, in my case a thread password will be real handy for sharing photos with anonymous/untrusted users.
They won't have to go through the whole user sign up process :)

I'm setting up a password for a thread but users have still direct access to the thread. Is the addon working with the latetest xenforo release?

I confirm that it works with XenForo 1.0.1. What's wrong with your site?

Well, I browse to the thread that I want to passwort protect (..../threads/bd-guard.5906/password ) I type the password in. Until here there is no problem. One of my moderators told me he could access the thread without seeing the password protect interface.

This forum is user restricted, certain usergroups can access it. But I wanted to limited some thread more for specific moderators.
