Yes, thumbnails should be served via S3 too.The attachments are being stored / served from Amazon S3. @xfrocks - is this also a case for the thumbnails?
Clarification: attachment thumbnails for posts should be served via S3. IIRC the media add-on generates its own thumbnails because it uses a different size and puts them in /data. Those are not handled by this add-on.Yes, thumbnails should be served via S3 too.
Ah, this confirms my above post. Maybe for some reason the media add-on failed to generate its own version of thumbnail. I will have to install it and see what's wrong. This has been broken and fixed a few times already.OK, well those are generating a 404 not found.

The images are there, and doing a thumbnail rebuild no longer errors.

Maybe the delayed upload option is turned on? The file will be moved from internal_data to S3 with some delay. Also, I believe the latest version of XFMG is 1.0.3?It's set to use S3, and not keep a local copy. However, I've just done a test upload, and it's stored the image locally in the internal_data folder

I've just seen he's using a old version of XMG (2.0.6)
Nope.Maybe the delayed upload option is turned on?
Correct, for XFMG, he's still using the pre-xenforo official version. Also, I believe the latest version of XFMG is 1.0.3?
Consider upgrading maybe? I have just grabbed 1.0.3 and tested uploading, resizing etc. and had no issue.Nope.

It's recommended to serve static files with a cookie-less domain/subdomain.I'm a bit confused.
What's the point of using a subdomain for the attachments?
Is it better, does it have any drawbacks?
I'll be using this with XFMG.
What happen when you upload new media?I'm also having the XFMG thumbnail issue that @MattW already mentioned, running XF 1.4.5 and XFMG 1.0.3
The thumbnails were back after I rebuilt XFMG thumbnails, but they're beign stored in the hosting and not S3.
Did you enable the delayed processing option?I've just tried it, I've created a new album, uploaded a new pic and it stores it locally, not in S3.
I have just tested with XenForo 1.4.5, XMG 1.0.3 and [bd] Attachment Store 1.1.4 without issue. I will need your server information to take a closer look into the issue. Please start a conversation with me. Sorry for your problem. No, and I've also set it not to keep a local copy.
