Does it count as barefooting if you never wear shoes or socks etc. except when you go out? Not proper barefooting I'm sure... but I dread to think of the injuries I've caused myself just by going barefoot all the time indoors... I'd probably end up footless or something if I did it outdoors too lol

Well it's a start ;) Really it's just a matter of deciding to do it when you go out without footwear. Try it one day and you may find that you don't want to put your shoes back on in the future.

I found an interesting blog from a woman who's giving bare feet a go - it's worth a read.

I may just do that... if I can figure out how to do it without ending up in casualty lol. (Just a little accident prone here... don't ask me how (I couldn't tell you if I tried) but I've even managed to impale my foot on a knitting needle before... nice. )

The habitually barefoot person is acutely aware of their surroundings and walks with a lightness and surety that is very effective against injury. Sounds like just the thing for you!

(y) Do let us know how you get on. Got any ideas for your first outing?

Hmm, well I've got a conference at the weekend... that could be interesting haha! I'll let you know how it goes! ;)

I have to say I don't much fancy walking the streets of Liverpool barefoot though - yikes!

That is basically me too Jo :)

I have to wear shoes outside as I have a tendancy to not look where I am going, which has led to some rather disgusting "steppings on" recently

Just noticed how the angle of that mirror makes me look like I've got really stumpy legs - I haven't, honest!
