XF 2.2 Banned members can post

A banned member is still posting on my forum, I checked his permission, he is not allowed to do anything, why is this? It's never happened before, thanks!

Thanks, just tried it, he can post because he is in the "registered" group, but he is also "banned". Doesn't "banned" disable all permissions?

I'm really confused, checked other banned members, "Analyze Permissions" indicates they can post too. What do I have to do to really ban a user? He can't read or do anything on the forum, only a banned message.

It should and always does on my boards. How exactly was he banned? Go into "Ban Member" and run his username through that.

You should see his username with a strikethru, if the account is truly banned.

It's a new member, I simply used "spam" on his account.

Yes, his username is stricken through. Also when editing his account details, it clearly shows "banned".

He should not be able to do jack. Run the spam cleaner on him again, make sure the "Ban Spammer" box is checked.

Yes, he started a new thread asking why he was banned. I removed it. Then he replied to a thread and asked again.

He is definitely banned.

Also, I checked other banned members, according to the "Analyze Permissions", they can post too, although they never done that.

He should not show in the "banned" usergroup. None of my banned accounts do. Untick any box that is ticked, in his usergroup list.

Checked out another xenforo forum, it's the same. I'm running 3 xenforo forums converted from vBulletin. Maybe they never worked as I expected?

Scroll down and look, see if any boxes are ticked under "Secondary Usergroups."

Very unlikely, I only installed two official addons to avoid strange problems:

XenForo Media Gallery and XenForo Redirects for vBulletin 1.1.5

No, only in "Registered".

"Registered" should be Primary Usergroup. For ALL accounts no matter what else. Under that, there is a list of "Secondary User Groups."
