Not a bug Avatar not showing in staff online

As you can see from my avatar URL, I use Gravatar:

And furthermore, there's a local fallback version passed into the Gravatar URL so if it fails for whatever reason, they will serve that instead.
So, that's roughly why you will be seeing the no avatar image. However, it's not a software issue. The issue would likely have been something temporary between yourself and Gravatar.
