OK, only three more suggestions to go before I shut up. These are the less important ones for sure.
For this one, actually, what I'd really love here is simply the ability to make avatars bigger without loss of quality (or smaller), but other avatar settings would be really fun as well. Also, there doesn't really seem to be an option to completely turn off all avatars. Other possible suggestions include moving/disabling the online status indicator in posts and per-group avatar overlays.
