XF 2.2 Attachment file type icon specification

Finally, non-image attachments now have a selection of file type icons that are automatically applied based on the type of file being attached, so give better visual feedback as to what kind of file you're looking at, without having to scrutinise the file name.
Where in the templates does one link a specific file type to a specific icon? Many of our attachments get a generic file icon. We'd like to make it more differentiated.

It's defined in code: src\XF\Data\FileType.php
This is a setback as far as admin control is concerned. Looks like we cannot recreate our custom style without developing an ad hoc add-on. In FX 2.1, we had the ability to associate file extensions with specific icons right from ACP by editing "attachments.less." Please, consider bringing this feature back to ACP in one form or another.

Thank you for the link! Unfortunately, that's not quite what I'm after. I'm simply trying to make this:
1601631171662.webp

look like this:

1601631863538.webp

In XF 2.1, it was achievable in ACP by editing templates.
