@apathy can you add ignore BBCODE option please? Or add just a basic regex to ignore. I want to disable char counter for CODE BBCODE or image BBCODE.

Example regex code:

Why would you not count bbcode when xenforo does count it.
People would think they have characters left when they don't.

We charge based on the number of characters, and BBCODE adds a lot of characters.

the option expects a comma-separated list of tags, so code,url would exclude CODE and URL bbcodes.
Admittedly I never accounted for parameters like in your ATTACH example. Can't say for certain it'll correctly exclude those, i'll be able to test it tomorrow and see for sure.

Will add it to the to-do list. I'll have a checkbox in the "Preferences" page of account details for disabling it

This addon just enables a character counter that's disabled-by-default in XF's bundled Froala editor. "Title" fields are using regular inputs, not the editor, so I can't add it there unfortunately

Never used that addon so not sure exactly what it does/whats necessary for it to work with this addon, but I've put it on the to-do list so I'll try give it a shot soon
