well thats my question
is there anyway to check my database for any error or "bad" table??
In phpmyadmin you can select all the tables in a database and click on "check", it will report back.
If you're not getting errors, it's basically fine.
There is a Check DB function in cPanel, but if a table was marked as crashed it would already be reported.
Damn! Double ninja'ed.
Well... I wanted to check the database because I was getting this error when I moved to my new host: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/moving-from-one-server-to-another.22921/
when I updated my script to 1.1.0 B5, all was normal...
First for everything hehe.
In my defence I was updating the FAQ
The trick is *basically*
Corruption is most of the time not such a big deal. As much as how not defragging your win98 instance wasn't really a big deal either.
Until the thing blows up.
It simply could cause bigger issues, which leads to potential data loss when it could have been prevented.
Run an optimize and repair a few times. And yes, that will report back some tables as up to date, some as unable to check or optimize, and some simply don't support the type of action because they're like a session table, or simply stored in memory for other reasons.
okay I got this:
all the tables are "OK" but for three of them, I get: The storage engine for the table doesn't support check
the tables are: attachment_view, session_activity & thread_view
Those are memory tables.
Sounds like it's all sorted, time to move on to the next thing: Posting awesome content on your great xenforo instance. Best of luck.
