Any reason why friendly page-123 are not used widely?

Just wondering are there any good reasons why the friendly page identifier (params?) are used only in threads and posts listing? For example resources listing adds the "not so friendly" page=2 like below

hxxps://xenforo.com/community/resources/?page=2

while threads listing under a specific forum adds "friendly" page-2 like below

hxxps://xenforo.com/community/forums/off-topic.7/page-2

There isn't really a specific reason. It likely has to do with how sub-routes work in the RM that it may not have been straightforward at the time.

Just to note, Xen Media Gallery does the same thing.

Similarly some add-ons like CTA Featured Threads & Portal use the same approach.
