XF 1.2 Anchor tags on pages

On a xenforo page, I'm having trouble getting traditional HTML links to in-page anchors to work. When you click the link, it goes to the forum home. Anchors are defined correctly and linked to correctly n the HTML itself, but when the HTML is put into a xenforo page, the links don't work. Any ideas?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something. In the HTML page that I compose, the anchors work just fine in preview. If I transfer the HTML to Xenforo as a "page," the anchors don't work. So I need to somehow alter the HTML to include the ultimate page URL?

Thanks. I figured it out. It involves knowing the ultimate page URL and putting that manually into the HTML.
