Amazon S3 Website Backup Tool Needed

I was wondering if there's any PHP script that would backup my website files and databases to Amazon S3 bucket and maintain custom number of copies of it?

I'll ask my friend how he does it.
He wrote a program that downloads backup scripts from S3 and does it all behind the scenes.

I checked few links but couldn't get what I was looking for. I think I'll have to add a few customisations.

Your request seems pretty basic. Not sure why the scripts wouldn't do the basic things you ask.
Does it have to be a php script ?

what I do is run a script to

1. backup the Firebird database
2. compress and encrypt
3. upload to S3 under today's date

I would think it's easy enough for someone to write if they know php.

If you outline your very specific request, I can ask him if he'll help you.
Your idea is certainly a good one to prevent problems.
