Amazon Parser

Amazon Parser 3.6

No permission to download
Someone linked the German Amazon site, but it added my US referral tag (I'm an affiliate with several of the Amazon programs and they are all set correctly in the options). Running HTTPS in case that's something that needs looking into, but I can't think of why that'd be a problem in my scenario.

EDIT: Ah, posted too soon. It's because I'm using the S9 Media Pack addon, and it has its own settings for Amazon Affiliate links, and defaulted to my US tag (I didn't know of the feature and hadn't added my other tags to it).

Links not getting replaced:

Hi,

I do not get it to work. I gett errors.

ErrorException: Fatal Error: Access level to Andy_AmazonParser_DataWriter_DiscussionMessage_Post::_messagePreSave() must be public (as in class Andy_AffiliateParser_DataWriter_DiscussionMessage_Post) - library/Andy/AmazonParser/DataWriter/DiscussionMessage/Post.php:280

I use https for my domain name...

Hi and thanks for this. Does anyone know something similar that changes "keywords" on the fly eg.

This is my post on the forum, and when I mention "Laptops", it automatically links to Laptops on Amazon, including affiliate ID.

It was available on VB and worked really well. TIA.

@AndyB
Is there a way to exclude usergroups from being effected? We have members who are customers, approved advertisers/sponsors, or extremely active. Can usergroups or specific members be exempt?

Also just seeing the question above @HiTeck Monetize Pro ($45) can do it from ThemeHouse... there stuff is "OK". Think there's a 20% coupon on AdminForums

I've just downloaded and installed this add-on. It takes no effect.

Group permissions are set for registered users to "allowed" and I entered my affiliate ID, but links will not be changed.

I've tested it with this link:

https://www.amazon.de/Entführungsfall-Natascha-Kampusch-beschämende-Wahrheit/dp/386883298X/ref=pd_sim_14_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VM5ACQQG64N34076MHY2

No effect. Please help.

Further information:

First I installed this add-on. It worked for new links. After that I installed the Amazon Parser All and started a run (no effects). After that the Amazon Parser stopped working. I uninstalled both Amazon add-ons and re-installed Amazon Parser, which is now not working anymore.

Hi,

Something must have happened with this add-on with the latest version of XenForo and I just noticed it. The eBay Parser add-on has the same problem, Both the Amazon Parser ALL and eBay Parser ALL add-ons still work when you run them manually, but these basic ones that are supposed to update the links when posts are saved are no longer working. For some reason, they have started converting the words Amazon and eBay in posts to links only that go directly to those sites, but they are no longer updating the links to items. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the add-ons, but no change.

I see where you updated them last month on June 8th, but they are not working.

Thanks...
.

Hopefully this will be updated for XF2 - biggest money-maker in my forum (more then 1€ / user / year on average !!! I would gladly pay for a XF2 version *hint* *hint*)
