P Paul B XenForo moderator Staff member May 18, 2015 #2 If you were prompted to change them during installation then they will have to remain like that. The install directory is perfectly safe but for peace of mind, you can .htaccess protect it. I have a resource which explains how to do that. Upvote 0 Downvote
