Well my initial opinion when I first saw it I was very impressed with the layout. I love the landing page the posts that are on front seem relevant to the forum type that you have and it seems to be a good placement for them. I however think that the main slider box is a bit to big. I registered just to see what that was like. I like when you are awarded a trophy you get a little slider box at the bottom left that tells you and it goes away. It seems to flow nicely and doesn't take up any space.
So far so good. I will play around with it some more and post another reply if I have anything else to offer. Other then that great site!

As for the slider, its that big to elevate some of the landing pages dead space. Better to look at instead of grey haha. Yeah, if you have any suggestions, or ideas, let me know!
 
My first initial thought when your site pop on to my screen was "wow!" . I love the colors you selected for your site. The dark black goes well with the content you are serving. The revolving slide show in the background also looks great and blends in with the rest of your site very nicely. I did notice a posting in reference to a Holiday Raffle" Nice! Do you use an add-on to do the raffle? If so where can I find it?

Firstly, thanks so much, it really means a lot. Secondly, I do use an add-on. Its a combination of ******* Credits and ******* KeyCode. Again, thanks for the kind words :)

Design looks great. Layout of the forums looks eerily familiar *cough*...but I appreciate you not stealing my awards like you *tried* to do with the member ranks...

I'll assume you had a friend help you and you have no clue about my website (despite you posting on my status in regards to another site doing something similar to yours, but you deleted it and probably thought I wouldn't see the alert and thus not look into you and your site) and your friend was the one that decided it would be cool to use my graphics I paid for, and not you.

I understand wanting to be cool like one of the biggest sites in the niche, but originality will set you apart. Most gaming sites that copy us are dead within a year so congrats on surviving through it! You certainly have a lot more originality compared to most of the new gaming sites out there currently (or in the past) and it appears to be more active than some gaming sites that have been up longer than you. That deserves a pat on the back, our niche is one of the hardest to grow in due to the sheer volume in our niche. I've seen hundreds of gaming sites come and go but it looks like you have enough passion to keep yours going...just remember to not steal things ;) Borrowing ideas is great, changing those ideas to suit your community is even better! But "borrowing" graphics that you didn't pay for or create yourself is just shady.

Moving on. You do need to fix your login/register:

I like the larger avatars too!

We are about to integrate those super responsive social buttons too :P

Keep up all the good work (aside from taking that small graphic).

Secondly, the forums layout was suggested from a multitude of members.

Third, user titles are basic names that anyone can really make.

Fourth, I put that post on your profile and then realized how outdated it was.

The fact your accusing me of taking graphics is kind of mean considering you didn't even look up the add-on. I do appreciate what you said before about the good parts, and I am working on fixing the sign in links.

Never said anything about the usertitles. I was talking about the rank meter. You can see what I'm talking about in the images I provided.

You must feel quite guilty if you are reading things that aren't in my post.

Firstly, sorry I thought you meant user titles. The way you put the awards thing in, It just felt like you were kind of attacking me. I was just pointing out where I got the layout from. Think we got off on the wrong foot, and I really don't want to be off on the wrong foot at all with you. I really appreciate the review, just felt like you were somewhat upset at me. I'm quite new to the forum world, and really don't want to be enemies with anyone.

If I was upset, you would have received a DMCA complaint and I wouldn't have posted. It's a small graphic that I hope you change (and I hope you recognize where you got it from). I did a look around your site and I do like it, hence my tone in the post. Sorry if it sounded harsh, I was truly trying to say you were doing a great job as I've been in this game for over 10 years and have seen gaming sites come and go. Most of these sites I see find a rip of my skin, steal all of my graphics, steal our articles (which thank you for leaving the source link on the ones you guys did find from our site), steal our layout, and then talk sh*t on my site, which is ironic since they literally just copied us lol Those are the sites that die within a year and getting passed your year mark is wonderful.

He/she could have at least asked for permission to use it. I hired a great graphic designer that cost good money. Wow...
 
There are some serious allegations being made here, so before this thread spirals out of control im locking it until it can be discussed by staff tomorrow.
 
Although I have left the original posts regarding the graphics in place as they are somewhat relevant, I have pruned the thread of the later ones as it became derailed.

I would encourage the parties involved to try and resolve it via conversation (or other means).
Although it would appear two of the parties have done just that.

I think the background image in the 2nd image should be little of low opacity as I cant see the username in it. Other than that, looks really cool
