Advice on forum set up

Hi, newbie here, just purchased XF and starting to set up my forum - Asia After Dark (nightlife in Asia). Took everyone's advice, not spending huge amounts of time on aesthetics, but we are using a nice theme (UI.X), and color coordinating to our logo. Content is what drives traffic, not color schemes. Question - we are hoping to cover 15 countries, with about 10 nightlife categories (e.g., sports bars, nightclubs, wine lounges, XX clubs, pool halls, etc). This makes the number of forums huge, and we are wary of launching too many empty forums. Thoughts / advice ideas anyone? Thank you in advance.

Use thread prefix first instead of nodes/forums.

Thanks for that, reply appreciated. Might you have handy an example? Reading up now, not easy to visualize. Apologies, I am new but learning quickly.
