Can't get the Watermark feature working.

I've enabled the Text watermark in the admin options.
I've ensured the User Groups have the 'Display Watermark' setting on.. And analyzing the User Permissions shows this is the case
I also disabled bypass on the Media Gallery options in case that makes a difference.

I get the QR Code and the Download Tracker..
But no Watermark.

Just in case..
There doesn't appear to be anything written to ./internal_data/atp_watermarks
I can't see any new directory in ./data

What am I missing?

EDIT - fyi, no errors in server log

it would appear the text watermarking isn't working.
But the image watermarking is.

Should there be hooks in the Media Gallery to allow users to add watermarks to existing images?

Does this have a rebuild for watermarking past image attachments? How does the watermarking work with different image sizes?

No, is not needed! Images get "on the fly" a watermark and then cached.

The system adjusts to watermark!...
Example a large picture and a small picture

Now server intensive is this with high traffic? Also how long is cache for? I have near 180k images. This will double the space needed?

Yes and no! Because only the images are cached, which are also retrieved! Images from threads the years old - no more open - no CPU load - no cache.
This is the best solution. Not to destroy the original.
