OK, I'm not worry that there were widget errors when upgrading, however the widgets are not showing in the forum list sidebar.

Is there some other step to take to make those show (apart from enabling in options and making sure there are active advertisers and/or featured sticky threads to actually show up in the widgets?

They are controlled via admin options found in Ads Manager [Advertiser] (Last 3 options on the page). If you don't see the widgets after enabling the options, go to Cron jobs and run the Ads Manager widget data cache cron.

Hey. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here - but I'm sure there's a way to avoid this from happening... I want "ecu" to be linked (text link) - but the word "executive" will have "ecu" linked - but I don't want this to happen to all words with "ecu" in it. How do I avoid that?

Are you talking about keyword ads? It doesn't link words that are part of another word.

One thing I've just noticed is that Google ads are not showing on the New posts page. Instead there is just a space where the ad would be. (I have not added that template to the exclude list in options, nor have I set any p[age criteria for the ads or packages))

Does anyone know what could be causing this? (NB: I'm not sure this is to do with this add-on or something to do with Adsense, as banner ads are showing fine on that page)

If you see an empty space that means that the code is there but AdSense hasn't served any ads.

I suspected that was the reason, any idea why that would happen though?

I was wondering if you have any plans for future to make it also an ad server, like allow members to create ads, get the code of that ad and put them on their sites. And they could see even make that ad space for sale on their site, see ad stats, so act just like an ad server + what it has now.

Is it a new ad unit? That could be the issue until the crawler reads the page. Else, only they would know what's the reason no ads are being served.

As admin you can embed ads outside XF and I can enable that for advertisers as well, but not the option to sell ads on their website.

would it be that hard to make it ad server integrated with xenforo considering the number of features you have already done?

of course increase as well the price for this feature, make it double, triple if necessary. please think about it.

No, it's a few years old. Same ad unit is showing fine on other pages, it seems to be just the new posts page.
