Adding IRC Url with an error

Hello. I´ve tried to insert a link to a word (irc://irc.quakenet.org/mychan) but always it is added as
http://irc://irc.quakenet.org/mychan.

With the http:// in it, the link will not work. Also if i try to delete it after does not change the Result.
Is there any way to solve this Problem?

I have confirmed this behavior. This might be by design. This should probably be moved to the bug forum.

On the whole this is by design. Allowing arbitrary protocol links can potentially be an issue (see javascript or data URIs). It's safer to white list.
