XF 1.5 Add Tags Just Won't Die

For some reason I can remove the option to add tags for everyone except myself - admin.
Even after looking at analyze permissions, every tag related permission is set to "no", yet I am still prompted to add tags to threads I view / create.

Haven't you analysed the permissions for you as a user specifically?

Have you analysed Node permissions which could be taking precedence?

The moderator-level permission "Manage tags by anyone" allows tags to be added (as well as manipulated).

But if you want to disable tagging, it's probably better to disable it in the options.

Aha, seems the installer sneakily added a node permission to true!
