It works flawlessly for me on 2.2.16Ahh that may explain why this isn't working/supported. We'll wait for the functionality as part of the main software. Thanks!

Yep, they reached out and said that the functionality will be included by default in XF2.4, which is kind of a relief as I haven't had much time to focus on this lately.Given how complimentary the XF team were about this add-on, I assume that they reached out to @mazzly and got agreement about borrowing the functionality.
Nope, the amount this addon earned in a year is equivalent to what I earn in a day in my day job so.. (passive vs active income, but still)I hope the loss of revenue won’t be too significant (from those with more than the “free tier” number of add-ons).
Yep, I have no plans to discontinue this yet, but maybe in a year I might have other thoughts, depending on if there are still users (and if XF2.4 is out yetOne question: Will this add-on continue to be supported for a while for people who are still on 2.2 and 2.3?
It should be working fine, but there might be some small bugs with XF2.3 that need ironing out. I have been crazy busy lately, and last time I found some extra time to look at this, my dev environment had broken so I wasn't able toAhh that may explain why this isn't working/supported. Hi @mazzly, this is still the case. Thank you.In XF 2.3 this is not visible:

You can disable add-on updates, but there is no icon for this.
Will you lose money because of this?Yep, they reached out and said that the functionality will be included by default in XF2.4, which is kind of a relief as I haven't had much time to focus on this lately.

It really did seem like something Xenforo LTD should have done themselves.Yep, they reached out and said that the "Add on Update notifier" functionality will be included by default in XF2.4, which is kind of a relief as I haven't had much time to focus on this lately.![]()
HopefullyDid this addon "comply with known Xenforo programming standards" (as best you know) ( I dont know what it is ).
Yep it is something I have to fix... Having trouble getting my dev env up and running, but once I do I'll get these things sorted for XF2.3@mazzly. So will you be looking at these errors, or is that an XF problem to solve now?
And it doesn't update or notify me of anything anymore. I'm paying for the 60+ add-on version.Server error log

Thats got to be a good feeling. I would ask that your avatar be used as bullet points in the list of add-ons that need updatingYep, they reached out and said that the functionality will be included by default in XF2.4, which is kind of a relief
Some add-ons (unclear which, but only seems to have affected some forums) apparently have some magicaladdon.json
format that broke the collection of add-ons for checking.
This fixed version checks that the specificaddon.json
values are strings (as they should be) before trying to use them, to ensure that it doesn't crash.
The error went away when I upgraded PHP 8.3, but the addon still does nothing.the latest fix should remove that error, and make version checking work again![]()

Shouldn't be any blocking on our side... You can disable that message in the options, updates will still automatically be checked every 6h from your forumThe error went away when I upgraded PHP 8.3, but the addon still does nothing.
I'm pulling my hair out. I've done the CF firewall rule and triple checked it. I've reset my API key. Nothing seems to solve it.
Am I blacklisted on your end or something?
This is happening to me too. I realize we can disable the alert, but I like things to work properly and not just hide them.It is telling me that "The callbacks for add-on updates seem to be blocked".
So I have followed the guide to set this up correctly in CF to bypass, but what do I select it to skip here? The guide didnt say. I tried to click all, but I still get the error message in ACP. (and its been a few days).
