AdBlock Detector Pro

AdBlock Detector Pro [Paid] v2.8.3

No permission to buy ($40.00)
Great update, thanks.

Love the AdBlock % column, only just noticed that. Some of our members have to occasionally have adblock enabled when in work. A suggestion could be perhaps the nag prompt/feature to only show to those with a set/high percentage X% Adblock.

Could do a percentage instead of hard-coded values. Or based on device I was thinking; but you still run into issues that you don't know which device is which. Or could add a whitelist IP feature for users or something. But really, it gets to a certain point where, "why aren't they just upgrading for an ad-free experience + whatever benefits". But.. I don't know your community and how it's setup, so maybe that's not a thing for your setup.

Wutime updated AdBlock Detector Pro with a new update entry:

v2.8.1

  • Update: Changed overlay color for guests to be the same red whether dark or light theme (looks best this way)
  • Fix: Nag delay now ensures that clicking "I've disabled AdBlock" makes sure they have (reloads overlay if not) (thanks @RoyalRumble)
  • Fix: Permission checks are now node-aware, using hasNodePermission() from general hasPermission() checks
  • Fix: Node-level permisson overrides are not obeyed and properly handled
  • Fix: Admin option tabs properly wrap...

I had server issues. It was necessary to temporarily remove this addon. After being uninstalled this template edit remained. Thoughts @Wutime why? I do not think it is this addon but the template cache system.

Uninstalled:

ab1.webp

ab3.webp

Same question, can you elaborate on what your question is? And there's no need for massive images :)

Sorry.

Duck Duck Go blocks ads without an adblocker. If I use it without an adblocker running, it still blocks ads, even if your addon is running.

Your addon work on DDG if I'm using an adblocker.

Hope that makes sense

Yeah, nothing is fool proof. AdBlock just detects certain types of adblock, but depending on settings, not all.

Also, detection doesn't determine the status of whether an Ad is running unless you specifically set it up to do so; and even then may not work across all thousand of different types of browser / extension / VPN combinations and permutations.

Last I checked duck duck go was less than < 1% of users and depends a lot of the type of device and platform.
