I'm just about to release 2.4.1 Patch Level 2. That's the one to download.

Patch Level 2 works flawlessly and resolves a tiny bug with the Notice (though I suspect most everyone uses the Overlay anyways).

Got a video I'll post shortly too that should help with setup, though I think I've made it rather intuitive.

@Wutime is there anything special I need to do to know about (renew subscription, etc) to upgrade XF 2.2.16pl2 in preparation for XF 2.3 under current [Wutime] AdBlock Detection [anti-AdBlock] 2.0.5?

Hi

I am going to share the link of this add-on to one of the popular ad blocker to see if this can be bypassed if not I am going to funded the project to found a solution to have it bypassed the adblocker detection without being forced to be track and being forced its users to disable to any ad blocker and I am more willing to give the source code to any ad blocker developer for free so this can continue its efforts to put a end of advertising and to put a end of taking its advantage of its customers or users like facebook and google ads are currently doing.

the reason I am doing this because I can’t stand any advertising that’s is taking advantage of any of its customer and its users rights on there websites as you may known I am focusing on privacy and not tracking users data for any advertising purposes on both of my websites

as Apple said privacy is a fundamental human right and that’s I believe and that’s we should continue doing so

as you may known nobody like being tracked for any advertising purposes unless you are taking advantage of its users like example like facebook, google ads, any advertising company and this add-on!

Can you elaborate? I didn't quite grasp your question.
Sure, running XF 2.2.16pl2 but the addon is called [Wutime] AdBlock Detection [anti-AdBlock] 2.0.5. Is that this addon AdBlock Detector Pro [Paid] ? When I click support, this is the thread it takes me to.
Also, what is the best way to renew so I can upgrade to the version for XF 2.3?

Will you also be investigating and funding efforts to block the advertising you see everyday on t-shirts, billboards, televisions, on boxes around your house, in your bathroom, on your underwear, on your loved ones shoes, inside your car, outside your car, etc?

Humour aside, I get your perspective.

I also dislike online advertising. But the simple fact is, the reason so many great sources of information are free online is because of advertising, not despite advertising.

I haven't designed something for FaceBook or any MASS media agencies. This is simply an alternative for small forum owners to do their best to survive.

If you don't like a certain small forum that uses the Add-On you have an easy choice, don't visit that website and don't participate. Boycott the website.

There's hundreds of millions of websites, and YOU, as a consumer, get to choose where you spend your time.

Instead of spending time here starting a fight, why not spend your time contributing something somewhere. Or, spend your time on a website where you approve of their policies and respect their community and values.

Also, for websites I enjoy and use often, I disable my adblocker. That's my personal choice in order to support a community or website that I find helpful, useful, and valuable.

For websites I dislike, I choose not to visit them. I recommend you do the same.

For websites that I do I find helpful, and that offer me services for free that I need or want, without harvesting and selling my personal information, I choose to consume their advertising in order to support them. I rather see advertising as support, than sell my 'data soul' in order to have an ad-free experience.

Either way, it's a choice. That's my choice. You can make your choice.

I think what's important to realize is, if you're not being fed advertising, and you're not paying anything, then you're usually paying in ways that are often far more nefarious than simply showing you an advertisement. While not always true, it's often true.

With regards to Facebook, I don't use that service at all. Why? For many reasons. So I CHOOSE not to visit or participate.

I get it. Advertising mostly sucks. But hey, at the moment, this is the way that some amazing sources of information have found in order to continue to provide YOU with free content.

The fact YOU want everything for nothing, without giving back, seems a little short sighted. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe you contribute in other ways. But the simple fact is, my add-on has zero to do with your issues against facebook and similar. And, you can just visit websites with whom you agree with their policies and conduct.

There's some large websites that allow me 1 view and then lock me out unless I pay. I don't email support or flame their community like you're doing here, I simply move forward in my life and find alternate sources of information, or alternate websites to visit. Often, if I'm on my phone, I simply block the resource from showing up in my feed.

I recommend you do the same so you can save yourself some heartache and concern.

Life's too short to take on such irrelevant battles.

I'm just a little guy. Seems a strange battle to take to pick on someone as insignificant as me.

Since it is a different name, am I able to upgrade or do I uninstall then install? Just trying figure out if I need to record settings or not.

I am not going to investigate or funded this part unless CONSUMER are taking advantage by big company or any company

this is happening in Canada example loblaws😀

You can just download and install. The name change is simply cosmetic, it's still the same add-on.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

@Wutime : I am considering buying this pro version but I see your add-on doesn't work with Ublock origin enabled. I tested on Edge and Firefox and with Ublock origin enabled, the notice isn't displayed.

Today I got this error - all posts were empty by the same time.
I disabled the addon and everything was fine again.
I just wonder why the addon ran some days without any issue and then caused this problem.

I suspect this is a result of someone applying an EasyList rule against your website.

It looks like you're running an old version of the plugin. What version are you currently using?

Just to be clear; the new versions work with everything on all browsers.
