    Some interesting stuff I didn't know atleast:

    The Arial font was released first in 1982.
    The first smiley emoticon : ) is invented in 1982 as well.
    There were only 623 websites back in Dec '93. (Really?!)

    I first went online at the end of 1996.
    I well remember doing searches in Alta Vista and getting 100 results. 300 was a lot!

    Sites had template pages - my first one was typical with TEXT + PIC on each page. Even one pic was a triumph to get it there.
    But I so loved it all.

    A also remember going to yahoo to see what new sites were added.

    I remember before Yahoo there was a PRINTED book called The Internet "Phone Book" that has listings of websites etc. LOL. Those were the caveman days back in 1993-1994.
