You shouldn't be setting both width and height on an image, that is what distorts them. Set one, let the other auto resize so the resolution is correct.

Resolution is also about overall image size behind the scenes. If your image is only 300px wide, and you're trying to make it bigger, of-course it will distort. If you image is 1000px and being viewed at 300px, then it has plenty of room for zoom.
 
Hi Guys.

Just wondering if the Xenporta Copyright links etc can be moved to the footer to reside after the Xenforo Copyright. I don't believe in removing copyrights and believe that the hard work and time spent on the behalf of the developer should be acknowledged in any way possible.

Is there any way to not show notices on portal home page?

Also, is there any way to get a smoother transition of the slider images, everything is too instant.

Help :) Im at a loss here.

Do I have to do any template edits to get the portal page to show? I removed all my addins, and themes, etc. I can not get portal to work at all with 1.2 rc1 - where as it worked before.

Do I have to create a category? the only layout I have is "portal"

my base forum is located at www.rentacheat.com/forums
the portal is at www.rentacheat.com/forums/portal - I have under basic board info to make /forums/portal/ my home and Index Page Route,

The portal page is empty except for the credits.

I have uninstalled/re-uploaded. I have tried unregistered, and registered, and admin to view the portal page, and still nothing. I also rebuilt every cache there is.

Any suggestions?

Edit Fixed: I left the EnableListeners to false in the config.php when I was installing RC2

Try checking the Index > Portal box
 
:) rc2

for portal at / and forums at /custom :

xenforo -> Index Page Route -> "portal/"
xenforo-> Route Filters -> "forums" to "custom"
xenporta-> Index (index > portal) -> unchecked (if not it gets the portal forum content mixed in custom/)

did you drop any block in the portal page? if not it will be empty
 
none of the suggestions worked.

my forum is installed under /forums/
portal is installed /forums/portal/

I have tried index > portal, and without, nothing. I have rebuilt the caches.

Nothing is working. I have a few blocks configured, and they are not showing. This is bizzare!

Fixed: Had EnabledListeners set to false, really screwed me up!

I've been trying to make a secondary RawHyperText block for my forum, but so far nothing's worked. I'm editing the original block from 1.5.4

Hi

I am using this app with XenForo 1.2 RC 2 and got a problem. I can't move any block via Drag'n'Drop. The Blocks are not movable at all.

Is this an known problem? Is there a solution for it?

The add on hasn't been updated officially for 1.2 yet. You can try using the Release Candidate that Jaxel posted earlier in the thread. It might work for you. :)

Thanks for the hint with the rc for this addon ... it seems that i have missed this post.
 
I'am having a very strange issue with the the RecentFeatured block. It seems if I have it on any other page other then root then, right under the slide image, it loads the entire webpage that im on and it keeps looping the page forever. This even happened when the FeaturedSlide was on the home page with RecentNews under it. When I clicked to page 2 (/?page=2), it did the same thing with loading the entire home page again right under the image.

Only way to fix it is to blank out the "Index Page Route" value.

Did anyone have the same issue?

Keep getting this when I try to update the addon to the 1.5.9 that Jaxel posted,

Anyone tried installing this fresh on RC2? Can't get it to show anything. I had it all working on 1.1.4 fine.

1) Uninstalled prior version
2) remove all files manually
3) removed tables manually
4) installed his 1.59 test/beta version
5) set portal layout with a few blocks that I already configured. Nada.

I am not doing a custom layout, I want the same layout for all of them.

Alls I see is the footer/copywrite info for XenPorta © Jason Axelrod from 8WAYRUN.COM Thats it.

EDIT: Update - Uninstalled, and cleared everything out again, still same results.

I should be able to hit the portal directly http://www.rentacheat.com/forums/portal/ right? check mine out, its blank but the footer.

Double Edit: Well I downloaded XAMPP and installed RC2 fresh, and just portal, and its working fine with 1.59!

So now I am removing all my files and uploading the 1.2 rc2 full and see if that fixes things.

Please advise. If you go to www.mobitog.com you will see that the Xen Porta photo slide is nice and tidy in the central area and is self-scrolling very nicely.

However, on my site at www.satisfy.tv the same Xen Porta photo slide is extending all the way to the right, overlapping the right sidde column (attached photo).

Could you please tell me what i need to do in ACP to make the photo slide on my site nice and tidy as is on mobitog?

My apologies, if missed it. Is it possible to show images/threads in the slider from only the forum you are in? So that each forum has its own slider! Thanks
