Media Link Update Inquiry -

Xbox Live (Xbox One Video Clips)
Xbox One API Link: https://xboxapi.com/
Here is more info related: http://www.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/How_to_Share_Xbox_One_Videos_on_YouTube

Here is an example of a Embed Link (Using XboxClips.com): http://xboxclips.com/oDinZu/6a6efbab-6bdd-4489-b248-0537657d9952/embed

I am wanting to seamlessly integrate the sharing of these clips via our media page on the website: www.haloscene.com

The easier this is for our community, the more content and clips our community will publish.

I just found more info about the xbox api and am a bit excited about it =)!!

Please let me know, I find this update to be valuable for both communities.

Update: s9e Media Added Xbox Clips -
https://xenforo.com/community/threads/s9e-media-bbcodes-pack.61883/page-57#post-867331

Once XenMedio is updated also, we will have the capability to start integrating xbox live media and videos via the WWW, media page, and forum threads

Integrating something as an embed code (s9e) and integrating something with XenMedio is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and not comparable. XenMedio doesn't just embed videos, it also extracts data from APIs. There is a requirement that the data be somehow exportable from a reliable source.

XboxClips is a third-party website that doesn't host the media it's serving. Its a third-party website, hosting third-party media, that it retrieved using a third-party API.

That would be like asking to support 9gag.tv as a service. None of the videos on 9gag are hosted by 9gag and you can't retrieve the data about a video on 9gag by submitting a 9gag URL into the system. You need to submit the original source URL of the vidoe; which more often than not is youtube.

Recently, all new media that has been added to our site isn't creating a proper thumbnail,

How can we resolve this and regenerate those thumbnails?

That is not appearing. I insured that the correct user permissions were set for me to be able to do that.
I have two choices for "media" the navbar, and no Administrate choice on either.

I know this is a lot to ask, but can someone advise as to why this needed link to create catagories (which we need to make a media library) might not be showing up?
I checked and re-checked the permissions.

@Jaxel

  1. How can we add a browser tooltip here for the date / time stamp to show the exact time the playlist was last updated (like in the XenForo core for things like post times) when it changes to just a date after a week?
  2. How can we add a browser tooltip and make the times relative here and here?
  3. How can we disable automatic play?

Any idea how I can get this to serve youtube content via https instead of the default http?

Since we moved our forum to SSL, every single youtube link in our media refuses to play because it's blocked as mixed content.

Anyone?

I believe you just have to change the service "Trackback URL" via Media > Administrate Media > Services (./media/admin/services)

3. On your forum admin panel go to Options > "[8wayRun.Com] XenMedio (Media)" and uncheck "Autoplay Embedded Media?"
