What do you mean by a custom rss feed? The orange RSS link? Or a display of information? Take a look at my home page. There is a block in the sidebar called Tera News. Is that what you are looking for?

I just want to add an RSS feed i made into the header html of the script. So that browsers can automatically pick it up, just need to know where the main header html is in the templates.

Jaxel, I ran a scan of my portal page and it shows numerous broken links. I'd like to fix them so my site isn't penalized by search engines and directories. Can you please advise?

Broken Links
BACKGROUND: Links on your website that connect to non-existant pages are known as broken links. Broken
links undermine the user experience, and will possibly hurt your search engine rankings.

Of the 277 total link(s) you have on the page, 11 of them (4%) are broken:
1. http://www.TeraPVP.com/register/facebook?reg=1 (occurs once on this page)
2. http://www.TeraPVP.com/media/keyword/enmasse/ (occurs once on this page)
3. http://www.TeraPVP.com/media/keyword/englishclient/ (occurs once on this page)
4. http://www.TeraPVP.com/find-new/threads (occurs once on this page)
5. http://www.TeraPVP.com/events/ (occurs twice on this page)
6. http://www.TeraPVP.com/media/random (occurs once on this page)
7. http://www.TeraPVP.com/inline-mod/thread/switch (occurs once on this page)
8. http://www.TeraPVP.com/login/login (occurs once on this page)
9. http://www.TeraPVP.com/search/search (occurs twice on this page)

None of them pages are todo with this addon Oracle

The portal doesn't exist in a standard XF install.

How would the support thread work? Post in general questions and a reply could be "Where are you seeing these links?" Reply -> Portal page, answer "you should ask in the add-on developer's page"

That is just how I imagine the convo would go. Yes, everyone here is very friendly, but this seems like the right place. Broken links on the portal page, which is created by XenPorta.

At the very least, the media blocks and event blocks and sharing block are part of this add-on.

  • set options for the portal in administration control panel

Sorry, I'm new at Xenforo, but WHERE??? I believe I've looked at every single link in the Admin control panel that I can find and cannot for the life of me figure out where to configure the blocks and options for the portal.

Thanks,

Wayne, you'll find your portal options when you go into your ACP, and look in the menu on the left side. Click on Options, then scroll down to near the bottom.
You should see [8wayrun.com]XenPorta (portal).

You'll also need to set user permissions by going to Usergroup Permissions, and
tweaking the settings for all usergroups.

I apologize, but I have no idea what you're saying. I installed the XenPorta mod per your instructions in post one at http://www.whyzzat.com/forum. When I click on the now "extra" home button, it takes me to http://whyzzat.com/forum/portal/.

Per the written instructions, I don't see ANYTHING on my site, ACP or not, which says "Customize this page". Sorry, but I've spent too much time on this trying to figure out something that I'm sure is really simple, so I'm a bit frustrated.

I do appreciate your help.

Wayne

Aha. I might have found it. Somewhere I missed the step to give admins permissions to administer the module itself. Suddenly a new option popped up.

To remove that two home tab problems :

Visit ACP > Options > Basic Board information > Home Page URL : leave this option blank.

Now Options > [8wayRun.Com] XenPorta (Portal) > Set as index controller / show navigation tab enable them both
